Dr. Jennifer Stafiej is a clinical psychologist who dedicated several years to working with children and families as a school psychologist before transitioning into the field of clinical psychology. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2015. She specializes in conducting psychological assessments related to intellectual functioning, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, disruptive behaviors, and autism spectrum disorder.
Dr. Stafiej’s approach to conducting psychological evaluations is to establish an excellent therapeutic relationship between therapist and client. She works collaboratively with parents to discuss learning, behavioral, familial, and social issues by identifying specific goals and a course of action to achieve success. Dr. Stafiej’s experience as a school psychologist has allowed her to gain procedural knowledge to guide parents through the steps of initiating and receiving special education support for their child at school.
In addition to working within the educational setting and conducting psychological evaluations, Dr. Stafiej has worked in various therapeutic settings conducting psychotherapy. She has extensive therapeutic experience working with ADHD, anger management, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, executive functioning, depression, learning disabilities, oppositional and defiant behaviors, Selective Mutism, and school refusal.
