Jasmin Chamberlain
Jasmin is a psychology doctoral candidate at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Jasmin has broad training experience in both research and clinic environments. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Jasmin was a registered behavior technician at Total Spectrum Care where she conducted behavioral interventions for children and adolescents. She was also a research assistant at the Alcohol Research Lab of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Jasmin later completed a year-long training at Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital, during which she learned how to conduct psychological evaluations with patients experiencing severe distress.
Jasmin has experience working with a wide range of people and mental health concerns, providing evidence-based care to all patients. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic principles, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. This approach prioritizes a collaborative therapeutic environment that empowers individuals to explore their experiences and reach their full potential. Her main areas of interest include adolescents and people looking to change long-term patterns. Jasmin values establishing trusting and strong relationships with her clients in order to create an atmosphere of partnership and support.
In her free time, Jasmin enjoys playing the piano, listening to music, watching movies, playing video games, and getting involved with politics and social issues.
