Nicole Weiner, M.A., Psy.D.
Nicole Weiner, M.A., Psy. D. received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University-California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP). She received her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from CSPP, and her Bachelors in Psychology from California State University Northridge. Currently, she is completing her post-Doctoral experience, while working towards licensure.
Her clinical experience includes providing individual and group therapy with children and their families, adults, and older adults (55+). Dr. Weiner began working in dual diagnosis (substance use and mental health) in 2016 and has since deepened her understanding of more nuanced implications of substance use.
Dr. Weiner’s clinical framework stems from an integrative approach incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Existential Therapy. She is trained to utilize evidence-based treatment, Seeking Safety, for those working to manage symptoms of trauma and PTSD. While she is guided by these theoretical perspectives, she emphasizes a nonjudgmental framework to support her clients in increasing their self-esteem and autonomy. She believes in creating insight and strengthening an internal motivation for change.
