Matt Fleming is currently obtaining his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago. He has diverse clinical experience with a wide variety of clients. He has worked with individuals and families in social service settings, offering counseling, financial resources, and a range of other immediate needs. He has also worked as a mental health counselor at a youth center, providing counseling and crisis intervention for teens and adolescents dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational struggles.
Matt specializes in non-judgmental, client-centered approaches and believes that each client is the expert of their own life. Fostering a healthy relationship of shared power is always a top priority, and he works to ensure each client feels heard and empowered in the therapeutic relationship. He seeks to support clients to accept and appreciate their emotions while still working to improve themselves. Matt focuses on CBT, DBT, and ACT interventions to support clients on their journey of bettering their lives.
Matt enjoys talking sports (go giants!), reading, movies, and playing games with family and friends.
