Laura is a passionate occupational therapist with 10 years of experience in pediatrics across a wide variety of settings: clinic, school, home, aquatics, and community. Laura believes in the therapeutic power of play and the importance of relationships in making lasting positive changes in the lives of children and families.
Laura has treated a wide variety of children, from those with minor fine motor delays to more involved children with special needs. Laura
has extensive experience with children on the autism spectrum. Laura is a DIR/Floortime therapist, which is a play-based, relationship-focused approach. Laura also enjoys working with children with executive functioning concerns. Laura works closely with your child’s
doctors, school team, and other therapists to ensure a holistic approach. Laura earned a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Saint Louis University and is also certified as an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist and Evaluator with the State of Illinois.
Areas of focus include: Autism Spectrum, ADD/ADHD, fine motor delays, sensory processing disorders, sensory related feeding problems, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, various neuromuscular diagnosis, other syndromes or diagnoses that may cause developmental delay.
Laura lives in Woodridge with her two children and husband. When not at work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, cultivating an overabundance of houseplants and playing with her kids.
