Dr. Jennifer Stafiej received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2015. She has dedicated several years to working with children and families as a school psychologist before transitioning into the field of clinical psychology. She specializes in conducting psychological assessments related to intellectual functioning, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder, personality disorders, disruptive behaviors, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Stafiej’s approach to conducting psychological evaluations is to establish an excellent therapeutic relationship between therapist and client. She works collaboratively with parents to discuss learning, behavioral, familial, and social issues by identifying specific goals and a course of action to achieve success. Dr. Stafiej’s experience as a school psychologist has allowed her to gain procedural knowledge to guide parents through the steps of initiating and receiving special education support for their child at school.
In addition to working within an educational setting, Dr. Stafiej has worked in various therapeutic settings. She has extensive experience working with various issues that include ADHD, anger management, anxiety, Autism spectrum disorders, executive functioning, depression, learning disabilities, oppositional and defiant behaviors, Selective Mutism, and school refusal.
